HISTORY of KZUG KZUG is an online radio station that first made its debut in 1999 by founder Yuji Onimaru. Yuji’s love for the internet and music inspired him to create this winamp radio station. From a one man staff, with a dial-up connection, 56k and only one cable connection server holding up to 16 listeners, KZUG has come a long way. Today KZUG Radio can hold up to 75 listeners connecting to our many servers. From DSL to T1 server connections that hold from 6-50 listeners. With a larger staff and improved technology KZUG is growing faster than ever.   Listener Info: REQUESTS & DEDICATIONS: We try our best to accommodate everyone’s requests and dedications. Depending on how many are in demand, we cannot guarantee that your request will be played. If by chance, we do not carry your specific request in our archive, we will try and download it as soon as possible. We take each request and dedication in the order received so please be patient for your request to be played. SHOUT OUTS: Any offensive and otherwise inappropriate shoutouts will not be aired. We try our best to take everyone’s requests, dedications and shoutouts. Profanity may be aired.   Step-by-Step Instructions to tuning in: *you must have winamp 2.5+ (you can download one at winamp.com) Open program "winamp" Then press "CTRL and L" (together) A window saying "Open location" will pop up -see example- Then enter the IP address given to you from a DJ or promoter And then click "open" and have fun listening! Example: IP given: 66.227.96.189:5078 In the "open location" window.. copy and paste the IP: 66.227.96.189:5078 Then click open, press play and your ready to enjoy music KZUG style! Recruitment: Currently we are looking for Servers and DJs… ask KraZyUG for recruitment info or email uptown1015@hotmail.com  DJ requirement: *must fulfill *Dedicated and will do the hours on time *Cable/DSL connection or higher *microphone *600+ mp3s *Willing to download songs for requests and dedication *Must be free at the times we need you at. (meaning you have to stay at comp the whole time -besides bathroom break, smoking, etc.-) *Must be willing to sacrifice. You will be busy at the time you dj and you will not be able to do anything else besides djing Server requirement: *must fulfill *Dedicated and will have server running at the time it is scheduled *must download software - small - *must have DSL/CABLE connection.. preferably T1 (dorms) *at the time sched to have your server up, you will not be able to download due to the fact that it will lag the server, hence, it will lag the listeners. *you cannot have a router… unless you know for a fact that you don't have firewall.
